About Us
Girls on Fire is an overnight conference to empower teen girls aged 11–18 to live their lives as God intended. It's a weekend filled with worship, inspiring speakers, fun activities, small groups, and more! Don't miss out on this unforgettable experience on November 1–2, 2024!
Our Story
Our co-founders Heather Freeman and Renae Hinkel had a vision for an event that would encourage, equip, and empower teen girls to overcome the struggles of the world and live their lives as God intended. Every girl has a different story—a unique testimony that can influence the lives of others. Girls on Fire aims to give girls confidence in their identity in Christ and share their testimonies with others.
The first Girls on Fire event was in 2019 in Clarkston, Michigan, and has since been hosted in various cities, such as Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, and Dayton, Ohio. The event has grown as well as our leadership team.
Our Mission
Encourage
We encourage girls to embrace who God created them to be. Embrace their WHOLE being. In the book of Genesis, it tells us that God created humans in his image (Gen.1:27). This scriptural passage does not mean that God is in human form, but rather, that humans are in the image of God in their moral, spiritual, and intellectual nature.
Empower
We empower girls to share the love of Jesus Christ with others, share the testimonies of what God has done in their life, and give them the encouragement they need to live as a Girl on Fire for Jesus!
Equip
We equip girls with the tools needed to overcome obstacles in their life to achieve their full potential in their calling and giftedness. Primarily, the Bible, prayer, and activation in the Holy Spirit are encouraged as resources. Interaction with speakers, leaders, and other girls will also equip them with confidence.
